Become a Homeowner
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
How are partner families selected?
Our Family Selection Committee reviews the applications and chooses families based on their need for better shelter, their willingness to become partners in the program, and their ability to repay a no-interest mortgage. Applicants must have lived or worked in Bulloch County for at least one year at the time of application. Once a family is selected, they start attending homeowner education classes and volunteering with Habitat on our construction sites and at our store. Then they volunteer with Habitat on the construction of their house. After the house is completed, Habitat sells the house to the family for the cost of construction using a low- or no-interest mortgage.
***Habitat for Humanity of Bulloch County does not provide home repairs, rental assistance or emergency housing assistance, but will refer to other agencies when possible.***
